What is the dress code?
While the Oscars doesn’t enforce a dress code, stars usually take to the red carpet in outfits befitting the glamorous occasion.

Women (and men, if you’re Billy Porter) typically wear elaborate ball gowns from the world’s most renowned fashion houses, turning the red carpet into a televised showcase of the season’s top couture trends.

What’s in the goodie bags?
Goodie bags? Yes, really. Although they are not officially affiliated with the Oscars, nominees in the leading categories receive a (mega) selection of freebies. The “Everyone Wins” gift initiative was derived by marketing company, Distinctive Assets, and features an impressive range of prizes which, according to Forbes, adds up to £164,733 ($215,000). The extraordinary array of gifts (that wouldn’t actually fit in a party bag) include: a wellness retreat in Malibu, a 12-day cruise, botox treatments, snacks and, wait for it… a bottle of Old Spice roll-on deodorant.
